Kia ora everyone, thanks for checking out our little (long) demo!

Since uploading Small Town Emo (demo v.01) a week ago we've been super stoked with everyone's feedback! It's been really great to put this out into the world - we've gotta thank Pride At Play for featuring us as an exhibitor, and giving us an awesome push towards getting the Small Town Emo demo ready for player hands.

Have had a few minor bug reports come through (trying really hard to replicate one where Fergus stops following Ken and starts walking on the walls) - so we'll be putting out a QoL update in the next few weeks! Will also look at cleaning up a few instances of awkward or unclear dialogue, and adding in some options for swapping between different preset colour palettes.

We felt it was important to get a ROM up sooner rather than later, so we've put up the GameBoy Color version for now - we'll need to do some cleaning up to make sure the DMG (Original GameBoy) version behaves nicely, as it has a few more issues with conflicting sprite layers and overlapping assets creating glitches. In any case, current updates are below!

Changes:

• Added Game Boy Color ROM for download.
• Removed lengthy intro text from the ROM.
• Cleaned up some unused scenes from the Project.

If you run into any issues with the ROM / .gb file, let us know! Gonna be hard at work getting the rest of the game fit for human consumption - though it's still a ways off.
